The Eon Legacy RPG really is for Everyone and they’re not kidding…
“When the “Big Companies” didn’t care, I did. I was 12 years old, with dyslexia, ADHD, and anxiety. I wanted to play a game that didn’t exist. The year was 1997, so, I decided to make one for myself and everyone else.”
R.A.G. Rankin on why “Eon Legacy is for everyone”.
The 90s was what many would call the “Silver years” for Table-Top Role Playing games with the 80s being the bronze age. However, it wasn’t a friendly time for “everyone” TSR (Dungeons and Dragons) was purchased in 97 and Garry Gygax was doing his own thing. Because of this, the Robert Rankin (R.A.G. Rankin) was at a loss.
I walked into my local “Book Star” store and cracked open a Advanced Dungeons and Dragons book and saw it was priced $28. Then I saw the next book, Dungeons Master’s Guide, $31. Then all these modules – it was overwhelming for a kid that got 4 dollars a week for allowance. After reading through the first two books it dawned on me that this was “a thing”. My eyes rose to view Robotech, Vampire the Masquerade, and I was hooked but unable to buy a single book.
